First, I learned that the lexmark CD had old drivers that would never be compatible with Windows Vista. Had to uninstall the original installation, and either download the Vista drivers from Lexmark or let Windows search for the updates. Both ways seemed to work, but the printer still didn't work. I took that laptop back and got a Gateway laptop, plugged in the computer, Windows searched for drivers, and this time it worked. I don't know yet if I still have all the printer's features, but at least it prints documents.
