Ok, you might try this instead. Go back into device manager when Vista's drivers are running & go to the driver details in your display & write down the file names for the drivers. Then manually delete them out of the system files, leaving only the XP's to install. You may have to apply permision under the security tab in file's properties before Vista lets you delete them though. However, Windows Update may try to install the Vista's again, so you may want to disable auto update & do it manually to avoid. All because the vendors are to slow to release anything.(ha) Hope this works.
