The critical difference between 32-bit and 64-bit is that Microsoft REQUIRES signed
drivers for 64-bit. If a driver isn't digitally signed, you cannot install it.
On top of that, 32-bit signed drivers DO NOT WORK. Make @#%! sure that your manufacturers
have 64-bit Vista Drivers ready before making the leap, that includes your PC Manufacturer
and all of the manufacturers of your component parts (sound, video, motherboard FSB/Rear
Bus, accessories such as wifi, tv tuner, etc.)
If you are unsure, stick with 32-bit for now and find out more. You can always upgrade
later. Also, RAM would be an ideal upgrade right now if you're changing to 64-bit
and have less than 2GB of memory. (If your mobo is less than 2 GB capable, stay
with 32-bit. Not worth the time since less than 2GB of memory will perform WORSE
than with 32-bit. Remember the leap from Win 95-98? Memory was scarce then too.)
