Well, I can't find a reason to keep XP, much less Vista. Win98 does all my word
processing, spreadsheet, invoicing, internet access, etc. just fine. If you ever
used NT4, you realized that XP didn't bring anything new to the table except eye
candy for the masses. Sure, a lot of the kernel code was rewritten, but it didn't
bring anything NEW, just handled processes differently.
Vista, however, is quite interesting from a tech standpoint. It appears that there
are quite a few truly "new" things going on, but we haven't had enough time to tinker
under the hood to say for certain. All of our own experience with Vista has been
positive so far. The few tech calls we've had for Vista have been problems created
by the user, not the OS itself. My opinion is, use whatever works and don't sacrifice
usability for unknown possible future expectations.
