Turns out this problem is caused by Adobe Acrobat Reader 8 and its thrice damned
updater. The updater wants to run as admin, but can't because I'm running as an
ordinary user, and save its files in a folder in \Users\Admin. Since It can't it
saves them in \Users\me\favorites\Documents\Updater5 and creates a link back to \Users\me\favorites\Documents
in \Users\me.
Solution, turn off auto update in Adobe AcroReader 8 and/or point it to another folder
owned by my regular user account.
