>I recently had this problem and it was resolved with the help of the microsoft support
team. You were to re-install the Windows xp program because the Vista upgrade is
said to not install without it. Microsoft does not like to advertise the fact that
is there is an error, you can reinstall the Vista upgrade as a clean install, but
do not enter the product key until afterwards. You will then reinstall the program
again, but this time install the program as the upgrade.
The cause of the problem is that if the upgrade is either installed as a clean install,
the product key is not the correct key for a full upgrade, so eventually the program
stops working. Also, if the program is not registered properly it will also shut
down, and a message may appear, that you product is not a geniune Vista product.
Thats because a upgrade key was entered. It's best to do a phone registration,
and make sure that the confimation code is properly entered because for all of the
above reasons, the program will shut down. It is best to run the Windows program
first, because the drivers are already there. With a clean install you will have
to vistit the web site of the manufacturer and sownload all of the drivers after
installing the program.
Good luck, and please pass this information to all that are having these problems.
the program is fairly new, and a lot of the problems stem from the sales persons
not properly informing the purchasers on the proceedures of properly installing the
program
