Hey, I'm going nuts here, maybe someone can keep me from pulling the last few strands
of my hair...

Running Vista Home Premium I cannot go online in normal mode! Let me be more specific...

Internet explorer shows this page cannot be displayed like error, but when I try
another program which requires internet access, it works ie. Limewire. It connects
without a problem. It sounds like something with IE browser, but no. I tried Firefox
and same thing! No connection.

Steps I have tried...

Reset all settings on IE to default, ticked "Auto connect" (first box) under connections>Lan
Cleared all startup programs.
Antivirus scan, some cookies/mild stuff nothing crazy.
Tried to do a System restore but vista seems to not come with it already active???
so no points
Checked all network settings everything is on Auto and default.
Weird...
Refreshed IP several times and was able to ping router which is good...and even better...I
can ping www.yahoo.com and receive a response!! Again, I tried 2 diff. browsers and
still nothing...
Even used a BRAND NEW OUT OF THE BOX wireless card!!!

People, my troubleshooting steps have all lead me to dead ends and brick walls. If
there is anybody out there, ANYBODY who can help me resolve this without doing a
fresh install, I will compensate them via Paypal accordingly!

Thanks in advance for any input!
