For the past several months I had the same issue with my Samsung 21" widescreen and as of today (using your tip) the yellow is gone! I changed everything to DEFAULTS, removed the monitor from the Device Manager and then refresehed it, Vista found the monitor as default. I then restarted the computer and no more yellow. I do not see any harm or issues doing this as you mentioned. Thanks again!
