It sounds like the drivers are still not compatible.
My sister ran into this with a Dell all in one.
Originally no support, then Dell released some drivers for it and it still wouldn't
work. Dell later revised the drivers and now it works. Microsoft released there own
drivers for it and those work also.
I would bug Lexmark or try windows update with the printer connected and turned on.
Misrosoft may have drivers available.
Another option is to uninstall the printer, disconnect it, and start over installing
the drivers.
