I just got a new laptop with Vista Home Premium on it, and I have to say, I'm less
than impressed. Not even a day later weird things have happened.

My first problem is the first time I did Windows Update. It found the downloads and
installed fine up until it needed to reboot. It hung at the Shutting Down screen
and finally 10 minutes later it blue screened and rebooted. It seemed to have installed
the updates ok and I even checked for more updates, there were different ones but
not the same ones that I did previously. I did windows updates again and it installed
and rebooted without a hitch. But after that really strange stuff has started happening
like explorer.exe hanging up and me having to give it the 3 fingered salute. I've
rebooted a few times since then and so far I havent encountered any other problems
except for when I try to do a search in the Start Menu, I did a search for Roxio
and it told me it couldn't find anything even though I know for a fact that the folder
exists in the start menu directory. It can find other folders and applications, but
so far as I know it won't locate the Roxio program folder.

A side note, I ran chkdsk c: /f after I had the problem with it bluescreening and
it made some corrections to the MFT bitmap.
