Sure, XP might work on a computer shipped with Vista, but drivers can be an issue.
The forums show plenty that have tried to downgrade and now have driver issues.
I wouldn't make a statement like any motherboard that runs Vista will run XP, because
it leaves the impression there are no worries about doing an XP downgrade on a PC
shipped with Vista. Plus, it is necessary to make sure XP drivers are available
for ALL hardware, MB included. New hardware may not have XP driver available from
the manufacturer. Here's just a few examples:
