I just got an Acer desktop running Windows Vista Home Basic. When it boots up, a message appears: "Could not reconnect to all network drives". The other computers on the network are not visible and no internet connection is present. I choose Diagnose and Repair when I right click the Network Icon in the task bar. I click "Automatically get new IP settings . . ." and the connection is restored with access to my network and the Internet. However, on the next boot, the problem re-appears and I have to go through the repair process again. The router and all other computers on the network are working fine . Why doesn't this repair stay fixed?
