Hi sofaspud, if you right click on speaker icon on taskbar then click on playback devices, are you seeing any sign of speakers in there ?? if not have you tried right click anywhere on blank space in that playback box to "show disabled devices" & "show disconnected devices". If you are already seeing speakers in there have you tried right click on the icon then click "configure speakers" ?
