Aside from your dismissive lemmings for your fellow posters, it isn't possible
for anyone to install Vista Sp1 RTM other than recipient manufacturers, or at least
it wasn't when I first posted. All that 'lemmings' can install is Sp1 Release Candidate
1 and RC1 Refresh 2, a quite pointless exercise since both are now obsolete. From
the very beginning I clearly said that Sp1 would be available for download to existing
Vista users in mid-March.
As for pre-news news, I posted on 5 February, the day after Microsoft officially
made the announcement, giving a direct link to that announcement. I evidently made
the mistake of thinking that official news of Sp1 might be of interest to Vista users.
Frankly, I see no point in discussing this further.
