Erased D Drive?

It would be helpful to know what software or process this person used. Beyond that,
first they must first see that during the boot or within the BIOS (usually accessed
by hitting "Delete" at the start of boot) that the drive in question is present.
It might be of interest to try this drive on another machine if possible to see the
status of any files that may be present. But basically once the Motherboard can see
the drive either there is an issue causing windows to not see it or just move the
original files back with the copy command.
