On a couple Computers that came pre-installed with Vista, I couldn't get XP to work
much less Win 2000, Try it, the worst that can happen is it won't work, and you reinstall
Vista. You could also try a install on a New Hard Drive. If it doesn't work just
put the Vista Drive back in, you then have the New Drive for added storage, or a
spare for the day you need it.
