The Windows Explorer process is integral to the normal running of any Windows system. Without it the system cannot write to files (or do many other things) any more than you can. Windows Explorer is also integral to a host of applications including IE and RocketDock - it is part of the foundations of Windows. So there's no point in looking for a way to stop it.
