I will not offer false hopes. on the other hand this is a major overhaul including
how it "accesses drives" how it copy's and moves files and folders. The operational
changes are almost like a new OS. I would encourage backing up any data files and
going for it. **Make sure you have the pre-requisite updates installed first** Take
a little time to D/L and read the "Notable changes in Windows Vista SP1" pdf first.
READ THE DESTRUCTIONS first! Considering that you stated you drive is coming and
going makes me want to believe there is another program taking control and fighting
with Vista. This has been one of the common things seen in Vista. Other vendors thinking
they know more instead of following Ms's rules.
