Start up what is needed and what is not needed...

How does one alter the number of processes that are starting up by default. Many processes are unknown because their name has nothing to do with what they do. Many are hidden within svchost.exe, so what is necessary and what isn't. I want to alter the start up process permanently, not just during a session (which you can do from the task manager window) I would also like to get rid of the extra question window which asks if you requested this action... it is too much. It is actually the third confirmation that you want to do a simple thing like delete a file or change the name of a file. Thanks, Marcus
