I started with a near perfect representation of my monitor on the tv in s video,
(all icons, windows, mouse, etc..) but some of the icons were slightly off the screen.
I played around with different choices in display settings and got stuck with (laptop)1.
generic pnp monitor on nvidia gforce 7000m/nforce610m ....and (tv s video) 2. generic
non pnp monitor on nvidia gforce 7000m/nforce610m - no other choices. The laptop
monitor displays normally, but the tv s-video shows only the desktop background,
nothing else. When I change the s-video (2,) to main monitor, I get the cursor on
the tv only, but with the windows opening on the laptop monitor (1,) and no cursor
on the laptop, forcing me to reboot manually. How useless!
If I remember correctly, there were more choices before I started playing around.
What would I do about this? I'd be happy with the original setup, even if the display
doesn't fit quite perfectly on my tube-tv screen, which isn't a wide screen anyway.
I didn't see any options to restore the default settings. How would I get back to
the basic, common sense thing that most people would want; to mirror their pc monitor
with s-video on a television screen?
