How do I delete a file that is write protected?

I have a big problem- I have so many files that are write protected and I have no
idea how to delete them.My hard drive is running out of space..... I think I tried
everything but I am not a computer genious.....so if anyone could give me a hand
I would appreciate that very much!:-)
