Virtual Device Driver

When installing some older software and even doing the right-click option I continued to received this error message. I also tried Run as Adm with no luck. "SYSTEM/currentcontrolset/virtualdevicedrivers/ VDD. Virtual device driver format in the registry is in valid " The strange thing is I had already installed it on another PC using Vista Home Premium also. How do I bypass this message? Thanks.
