Here's a suggestion:  DO NOT edit your computer's registry without first making a 
complete backup (which is significantly different from making a backup of files), 
and more importantly, DO NOT edit your registry in blind compliance with a suggestion 
on a message board.  Ask the poster of the registry edit for references that you 
can review and judge for yourself whether the suggested edit is first going to do 
no harm and second is going to fix your problem.
