@Deb, I'll try your suggestion tonight. sfc /purgecache

@Dan It is a Linksys WRT-54GL with DD-WRT RC7 build 9379 firmware. It should be compatible with anything that correctly implements 802.11g as I believe it is only time multiplexing the wireless interface to create second virtual interface.

I suspect Vista because I read (which I can't find again right now) that Vista retains certain settings even when you remove items in the GUI. I have had an almost identical problem removing and re-adding printers.

Maybe I will try changing the SSID tonight to see if that works. I wish I had a fresh Vista machine to try out that has never seen this AP. Of course I'm glad I have no more than 1 Vista machine in my fleet.
