Thx for the fast reply......!my usb drive could have came unplugged,however i thought
this was a pnp device.anyway don't know how a storage hard drive can become write
protected as i never initiated this action.....i cannot even format the drive...!this
drive was originally formatted on an xp os (ntsf)now using it with my vista os,,,but
i have had vista since 1/07 and never had a problem till recently...what i need is
to disable write protection on drive f...note...there are no tabs or switches on
this seagate hard drive!thx agn.
