THX,to all who responded,i have finally found the answer to removing write protection....!the
link will show xp but works for vista..........http://www.accessdata.com/media/en_US/print/papers/wp.USB_Write_Protect.en_us.pdf.............
its a pdf file so you will need an adobe reader.also its a registry modification
so make sure you do a restore point 1st.it's simple & works,my F drive is now free
from write protection.
