Running vista home premium 32 bit on an acer laptop. Security software is bitdefender. I get the error frequently, in particular recovering from sleep mode (so I disabled). Most frequently suggested cause on the net is a hard disk problem (particularly S.M.A.R.T data errors). I ran some basic diagnostics but couldn't find a problem. I'd be very interested if it's a HDD problem or some other cause. A lot of people seem to have the same problem.
