The first link is the easieast to comprehend. It get more technical for there on. It is just too much to type out on this forum. The first link shoud fix 95% of the boot failures. If you can boot I would suggest you get "Vista Boot Pro". I do not usually promote stuff but this is good and very easy to use for most problems. Most of the links I am providing are the exact same information and I only do so as possible some people may understand one explanation where another makes no sense at all.
