Interesting-I just bought this Vista machine-the techs at the shop installed SP1-didn't
even ask me if I wanted it. But I have had to update practically every driver on
this thing it seems like. If that were the case you think they would have done that,
but then I was also choked because I paid them to take off the bloatware-and found
registry keys with Norton (trial they were paid to take off), also traces of AOL.
I am taking it in tomorrow so they can finish the job. I could have done it myself-but
I was real busy-and figured my time would be better spent preparing for my show.

So not sure if SP1 is the reason-but even my graphics card driver had to be updated-most
all of my USB. I had a terrible time installing my printer-scanner(one machine)-known
issues for that-but I obtained the new drivers on the manufacturers website.

Not sure if this is the reason-but I have been going through Device Manager-one
by one checking the drivers. Not sure if I am done yet. LOL.

I have heard that drivers is a huge issue on Vista. I am no expert-and I have only
had this computer for three weeks-still tweaking.
