Use the Address book Export feature to send a Copy to the Desktops Desktop, then that File can be Copied to the Laptop, where you open the Address Book on the Laptop, and use it's Import Feature, and point it to the Address Book File that is from the Desktop. The Address Book file will also open when Clicked on, so you can Keep it and use it as a stand a lone Address Book too.

You can also find a lot of tutorials online with pictures if you need more information .
