If I were you I would take the path of least resistance in "recovering" actually
creating new system restore points by downloading a freeware called System Restore
Point Creator.
System Restore Point Creator,according to the article found at:http://www.softpedia.com/ProgDownload/System-Restore-Point-Creator-Download-6104.html,was
designed 2 be a simple and quick tool to create system restore points. It beats the
default Restore Point UI in Windows OS, the articles assures us by: a) Providing
a restore point from the command line. b) providing a "one-click" restore point creation.c)
enabling the user to configure and automatically create a system restore point called
"Daily_Restore_Point via the System Restore Point setup program's shortcut.Read more
about this freeware at:http:://www.softpedia.com/get/tweak/System-Tweak/System-Restore-Point-Creator.shtml.
A fellow IT techie pointed it to me when a PC of a client had system restore problems.
My fellow tech swore by it, so I tried it and it worked! It is up to u. You can troubleshoot
your System Restore Points by the standard Windows method or tread in new waters
and try this freeware. Tell us about it if you decide to use it. Have fun and best
of luck. Don't forget the main website for this freeware: http://softpedia.com/ and
also check a comment about this freeware at: http://winvistaclub.com/t2.html.
