If the computer is brand-name (Dell, IBM, Toshiba etc.) visit the manufacturer's website and see if XP drivers are available for your model. Some new computers with Vista pre-installed cannot be changed to XP due to hardware incompatability. If the manufacturer is offering XP drivers for your machine, then it is likely that you will not encounter that problem. If you have a custom-made computer, you will have to look up drivers for each piece of hardware you have in your machine and see if XP drivers are available.
