So far it seems a mystery why MS changed this.  You should have 'In Eplorer', under 
Desktop, a folder with your user name. Create a folder for your pictures there and 
they will be accessible. The public folder isn't very public, even with full Admin. 
rights, though photo editing software and the like should have full access to them.
Also if the pict. is too large, like a pict. saved in RAW 48 bit many programs will 
freak out and crash or refuse to open it. We have a lady here that uses the RAW format 
for fine art and we had to build a server with a quad XEON to be fast enought to 
handle it all in a timely manner. Vid cards are justnow getting capable of handling 
the higher end of things. And if any gamers want to argue this, when was any game 
ever created with 48 bit 1 gig photo frames?
