It is very stable with the few exceptions of people hacking their system to make it do things they have no clue what they are doing and 3rd parts JUNK that we put on it to make it blow chunks. As far as Applesauce goes just about everyone I know using one has Vista as their primary OS as OS X kitty just doesn't cut it. Try from a fresh start and leave everything that is not MS off of it for a while till you get things stable. Also after a fresh install it has been suggested that you let the thing run in the background for a couple of days till it sorts out all of the file system and such.
