If this is a really a "new" PC, thus under warrantee, the best course is to work
with Gateway support. Do use a telephone, not email, to speed things along. And,
have the PC nearby and ready to run, in case they want to walk you through some diagnostics.
Warning: In recent years Gateway's support's "simple fix" to all problems is to
use the restoration CD. If they suggest that, pause and think: Have you backed-up
all personal data, including any product keys for anything you putchased online?
If not, do not run the restoration CD, until after you have done such a backup.
Note that "Restoration" usually means "erase everything, then restore PC back to
day one".
