Thanks Jacob6601. I tested the shutdown command and it works fine. I didn't mention it, but my network drives are NDAS type which show up as an internal drive (http://www.ximeta.com/web/), therefore, I suspect that the net use command will be inappropriate. Also, Ximeta sent me an email providing the batch command that will dismount the drives. Therefore, I think a 2 line batch file will do it ie, the first line doing the dismount and the second line shutting down. Do you see any problems with this approach?
