I have a question about Stop
Windows from saving the thumbnail cache (THUMBS.DB):
Thumbs.db files mysteriously just started appearing on my computer a few days ago.
(I'm using Windows Vista Home) I have changed absolutely nothing lately, so I don't
understand why this could be happening. To get Windows to knock it the heck off,
I have tried 1) to do the "Do not cache thumbnails" option, but that doesn't exist
in my folder options view tab. It just ain't there. It goes straight from "Display
the full path..." to "Hidden files and folders". 2) to add "DisableThumbnailCache"
to the registry with the DWORD value of 1, logging off, and even turning off when
that didn't work, but it acts like nothing has been changed. Is there anything else
at all that can be done? These things are driving me nuts! TiA.
