I am not sure on current HP laptops, but it is normally the policy of most if not
all laptop manufacturers to actually solder in the processor. This obviously would
make it all but impossible to modify. Also some manufacturers get really cheep and
do not give the same support to the motherboard to make this possible even if it
did incorporate a socket for the proc.
