I know this is an old thread but the problem with sort by type is it will not sort
by extension but by the program associated with that extension.
As a result I have extensions like .gpx and .loc that are associated with the geocaching
program GSAK. Sort by type will group them using the with GSAK not gpx or loc.
Any suggestions
Thanks
Steve
