Finally turned off System Restore, and then restarted, turned it back on, and I was able to get it to work back to the previous restore point, but the earliers ones are gone now. Hoping that at least it is working now. My internet connection is still extremely slow, and will have to look into other possibilities. Have run Spybot, Norton and both cannot find a problem. Thinking perhaps something is missing in registry, but that's simply a guess from a "not very smart" PC user. Is there a program that can fix registry errors....?
