Registering computer on the network Sunday, January 11, 2009 at 12:38 pm Windows Vista Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by dh (20 messages posted) On my old PC, running XP, connecting to my ISP was lightning fast (thanks to the tips I learned here!). Now, running Vista, connecting to the same ISP, it takes about 15 seconds to complete the "registering computer on the network" step when connecting to my ISP. Is there anything I can do to speed this step up?
