Thanks for the response, Dan. The computer is up to date on all security patches
and AV protection. Your last point seems to make the most sense to me. I had suspected
that "how" Vista and my ISP were communicating may have changed with the change in
OS and may have been the culprit for the extended logon time. What I wanted to do
was rule out any configuration or internal setting that may have been responsible.
