Thank you very much. I was looking for a concise article on setting up an AP. I'm 99% sure the routers have been set up properly, but I'll check if the following path is found to be fruitless. Working on the Vista forums, I've found the same symptoms as a "bug" reported in Vista. Well, it's not really a bug, but the sequence of steps to using Vista with this kind of configuration are more or less hopelessly obscure. A MS Vista engineer is helping sort the problem. I'll report back.
