Steve - it was probably your post elsewhere that I used to get the tip on installing VLC. Thanks. It was certainly a 'Steve!' Why should my MWP just pack up like that (granted, SP2 and other changes were happening) and why is it not possible to fix it? It means DVD playing through Media Center is no longer possible too. I realise I can watch DVDs through VLC and Power DVD, I just would like the native elements of Windows to be working properly. Thanks alot, Phil
