I don't know why WMP is so easy to get broken playing Videos.

I am having the exact same problem with DVD Videos on Windows 7 also, which has Windows Media Player 12.

VLC is used by millions of Users with similar Problems, so We aren't alone.

Personally I have always felt WMP Video related problems were related to Digital Rights Management. WMP try's to find a License for every Video it Plays, and if it can't find the License it won't properly play is what I think.
