No access to shortcuts in Documents folder

Hi - I just bought a new HP computer with Vista installed. I'm a new Vista user.
When I click on the shortcuts in the Documents folder, such as My Documents, My Music,
etc. I get the message that the folder is not accessible "Access denied". I am the
only user and the profile I'm using is an Administrator. The shortcut shows my profile
as having permission for full control. Does anyone have any ideas what's going on?
Should I just delete the shortcuts and make new ones. I do have access to the Documents
folder and the music folder, etc. It's just the shortcuts that don't work.

Thanks
Rich
