I work for the same small business as Candice and we recently fixed this issue. The issue stems from the fact that our server uses either an LM or NTLM format, which Vista is not set to openly communicate with. In Vista Business and Vista Ultimate, and probably Vista Enterprise (I've never dealt with this version) this can be done in the Administrative tools. With Vista Home Premium, however, you have to go into Registry Editor and change the values. We followed the instructions of This Forum Thread. I personally would warn against changing Registry Data unless absolutely unnecessary.
