John I'm not going to rag on you this time! I do want you to consider though the
next time you feel the need to say something negative to another helper here (or
anywhere) what they may have had gong on in their life, just like you did in your
situation. You never know what language another person is try to translate from or
what medicine they took that day. You don't know if their keyboard was starting to
fail or just had a long hard day. I had to handle 124 calls at my stores help desk
yesterday and I actually like to come here and unwind. I like the forum here, but
I also do not like to see the competition and bickering in front of a client. I do
like when another person has a valid comment and just wants to add to the mix. Some
people don't like that I write a book when I answer a question. If I teach a person
WHY something is happening though, just possible they will learn how or why things
are going wrong for them. Just like when I give old machines away. I just don't hand
them over. I require the recipients to learn how to use them correctly. And I spend
a lot of time teaching them. Your original comment would have been GREAT if it had
just a couple of extra words. "Next time be prepared and have the restoration disk
made up and handy". Then you have though a valuable lesson. If you are ever in Colorado
Springs, Co I hope you and anyone here can drop in and visit. Coffee is on me.
