Unfortunately it's doubtful that there are any Sony authorized shops here in Cambodia.
I don't know if this changes the verdict, but I found that I am able to get the display
to come on by just depressing the power button for an instant after the computer
is already awake, instead of the procedure I had been using of shutting and reopening
the lid, then pressing the power button to awaken the computer. You could certainly
be right about the cable though. I have had similar problems with the display (and
practically everything else) on this computer for at least a year now with changing
symptoms. Earlier, (but not now) I found that I had to move the lid to a certain
position to get the display to come on.
How stupid do they think we are? Are they right?
