i forgot to mention that the funny thing is, startup repair only detected 1 issue
and said the solution was to run dskchk...I did that, but no luck, rand startup repair
again and it said it found no problems. My vista installation was detected fine,
although even though I deleted the xp(boot) parition and grew the vista one to 300GB,
every program I ran said the vista partition was 180GB...where the heck did those
120GB go??. GParted for windows wouldnt even boot after this, which is what I used
to do the nasty deed in the first place. I had a copy of norton partition magic 8.0
ran it, checked for errors and it said "warning Error #1627 Upcase table incorrect,
file 10 (128). Looked up this error on symantec and it said the solution was to run
chkdsk also.....but still that didnt work either...why didnt windows RE detect any
problems when it still wouldnt boot??
